2014-2015 Results

2015 NCVF Collegiate Club Volleyball Championships @ Kansas City, MO (April 9 -11th)

Congratulations to the A team for finishing 9th overall at the National Tournament in Kansas City! With hard work and determination, these ladies finished 1st in their pools on day 1 and day 2. Their first match on day 3 in the gold bracket was not victorious as they lost in 3 sets against Minnesota.

Congratulations to the B team for finishing 2nd overall in the National Tournament! Being undefeated the first two days, their only loss the entire weekend was to Cal Poly in the championship match. It was a tough loss but nonetheless, being ranked 2nd in the nation is a huge accomplishment.

Far Westerns @ UC Davis (Feb. 20-21st)

(AZ – A) Day 1: Went undefeated against teams such as Fresno State and UC Davis B to finish (4-0)

Day 2: First round match against UCLA resulted in a loss. Tying for 5th overall!

 

Texas Showdown @ UT Austin (Feb. 20-21st)

(AZ – B) Day 1: First match against UT Austin A resulted in a loss in 2. Second match against Tarleton State, Texas Tech, and U North Texas were all wins. Crossover match against Texas A&M B resulted in a loss (3-2)

Day 2: First match against University of Houston, won in 3. Second match against Texas A&M A resulted in a loss. Tied for 5th overall!

 

Arizona Region Tournament Pt. II (February 8)

(AZ – A) Similar to the SDSU tournament, the A team remained undefeated until the championship match. They finished 2nd place overall with a tough loss to a great team.

(AZ – B) Again finishing 3rd place overall with a few great wins and a few tough losses including one to our own A team.

SDSU Aztec Invitational (November 22 -23)

(AZ – A) With many great wins, and a few tough losses to Cal Poly – A, Arizona A finished 2nd place overall! Great job ladies!

(AZ – B) Finished 3rd place overall, and 1st against all other B teams. Great job ladies!

Texas Showdown (Arizona B)

UC Davis Far Westerns (Arizona A)

Day 1: Arizona A defeats UCLA, SJSU and USC II to win their pool!

Day 2 AM:  Arizona A wins their power pool, defeating University of Oregon II and Long Beach.Day 2 PM: Arizona A defeats UC Davis, Cal, UCLA and SDSU to win the Far Westerns for the second straight year! Great job Cats!! We’re so proud of you!

AZ Region Tournament

Arizona A tied for third at the AZ Region Tournament this weekend while Arizona B finished eighth. Both teams faced some tough competition but were able to battle to win some key matches. Great job this weekend Cats!

Scrimmage v. ASU

BOTH Arizona A and B went undefeated today, taking out ASU A, ASU B and AZ Sizzle.  Great job ladies!

SDSU Invitational

Arizona A lost in the Gold finals against CalPoly while Arizona B took out USD to win the Silver Division! Great job Cats! Looking forward to next semester!
